Best downloaded in iTunes, this is the podcast from Aff the Cuff, a traditional folk session band, based in Carnoustie, near Dundee. Visit our website at http://www.affthecuff.org.uk.
We have tried to capture the magic of a real pub session, with minimal editing, capturing the banter as well as the music, some of which is polished and a lot which is not. Interact by emailing us with requests and we'll see what we can do.
Aff the Cuff: The Sessions
In this podiobook: Part 1 of the Shadowmagic Series"Hi, my name is Conor. Other than my father being a bit of an eccentric lunatic, my life was pretty normal until I got attacked in my living room and whisked away to Tir na Nog, the mystical land of the ancient Celts, where it turns out Dad is the usurped heir to the throne and everybody wants me dead because of some prophecy. Don't you just hate when that happens?"Shadowmagic is a rip roaring fun fantasy adventure novel by John Lenahan very loosely based on Irish mythology where every chapter ends on the edge of a cliff (or at least a high curb.) Join Conor as he grapples with typical teenage problems like, how to deal with a father's high expectations, how to survive in the world on your own and how to woo a beautiful girl - that wants you dead. Shadowmagic a podcast novel for young adults from 12 to 112.Rated 10 out of 10 on The Geek Beat!
Shadowmagic - A free audiobook by John Lenahan

This is a first year Media Studies course offered both online and face-to-face through Vancouver Island University. This course focuses on popular culture through the lens of Narrative Illustration (comics, cartoons, graphic novels, posters), with a particular emphasis on alternative voices within these forms. This course also investigates how these media forms have developed in different cultures and how these have influenced each other.
Students are encouraged to think critically about these forms of media, particularly in their relationship to such themes as: power; class; cultural imperialism; gender and sexuality; postmodernity, identity, and globalization. Students are encouraged to explore the subject both through written analysis and creative expression. Final projects may include texts, graphic works, videos, websites and other forms of media.
