Wednesday Night Teachings by Nate Holdridge at Calvary Monterey
Calvary Monterey Midweek
A native South Floridian, Kristian Caro, has been an integral part of the Miami House scene for over a decade. Kristian began his career in the lounge and club scene in Delray Beach, Florida as the resident dj for the famously known DaDa Lounge and Saki Room. Bringing his mix of Tribal, Electro, Progressive and House, Kristian introduced South Palm Beach to a taste of Miami. This proved to be a move that quickly catapulted him as a powerful dj in the market.
In the Summer of 2006, Kristian was asked by Casa Casuarina (aka the Versace Mansion in Miami Beach) to become the resident dj for their ‘Sunday Decadent Pool Party’. The party was a huge success and went on to last for two years. Weekend after weekend, he mesmerized the crowd with his sounds accompanied by a different world instrument. Being of Cuban descent, Kristian possesses a passion for live percussion, piano and sax accompanying his music. On many occasions he has spun alongside four percussionists and even a Brazilian drum band. His unique blend of all forms of house music has captured the attention of many, including the world renowned Composer and Pianist Yanni.
In the Spring of 2007, Kristian became the resident dj for Miami’s hippest weekly party, ‘Social Fridays’, at the Sagamore Hotel. He was invited to spin numerous large events, from fashion shows for Banana Republic, Guess, Ralph Lauren and La Perla, to celebrity events for Casa Casuarina, Art Basel, Amstel Light, Heineken, Miami Fashion Week and Winter Music Conference.
During the Fall of 2008 Kristian was asked to open for the Alternative band ‘Bedouin Soundclash’ at the Toronto International Film Festival Kickoff Party in Toronto, Canada. That same season he was also invited to spin for another Kickoff Party, this time for the Monterey Grand Prix in Los Angeles, CA. Then, in February of 2009, Kristian had the honor of spinning at the Miami Beach Food and Wine Fest Party for Food Network Personality ‘Rachael Ray’.
Throughout 2010, Kristian continued to ingnite the international club scene, spinning across Canada from Calgary to Toronto, and then headed south to spin at ‘Bliss’ in St. Maarten, the largest nightclub in the Caribbean. He then had the pleasure of spinning multiple major sporting and corporate events, including three high profile Superbowl XLIV parties for ESPN, ESPN Radio, and Careerbuilder. This year also ushered in a prestigious moment when he opened up for singer/songwriter Jackson Brown at a celebrity fundraiser in the Hamptons hosted by OCEANA. Kristian has added to his repertoire several notable clubs across North America including Nikki MidTown in New York City, Elevate in Los Angeles, and Empire in Toronto, Canada.
Kristian is currently the resident dj at Area 31 located at the EPIC Hotel, Haven South Beach, the Gansevoort South, and the C-Level Rooftop Terrace at the Clevelander Hotel. He is also the chosen dj for the ASPCA Foundation and Peroni Beer in Miami,
