Matthew Redmond, a student at Georgetown University, has had extensive experience in Cross Cultural Relations and Conflict Resolution. Matthew has been appointed to serve on a variety of organizations boards in the public and private sector in Maryland and internationally, including the Maryland Office of Family Youth and Children, Forum for Youth Investment, UNA-USA amoung other. In 2007, Governor O'Malley appointed Matthew to serve on the Maryland Governors Youth Ready by 21-join committee, A Five Year Action Agenda for Maryland. While on the Board he drafted the Ready by 21 strategic plans was developed to create 12 core strategies targeted to Maryland youth to get them prepared with necessary life skills by age 21. This policy plan went into effect in the fall of 2009.
Matthew Interests include promoting such issues as, enhancing global
relations, global character education, weapons non-proliferation and peace throughout the the world. His main goals are to establish better ties between the United States and the world with an emphasis on cultural exchange, as well as to help each other find new ways in which to achieve the UN millennium Development Goals.
