ESPN is an American cable television network focusing on sports-related programming—including live and pre-taped event telecasts, sports talk shows, and other original programming.
Founded by Bill Rasmussen,[1] his son Scott Rasmussen and Aetna insurance agent Ed Eagan, it launched on September 7, 1979, under the direction of Chet Simmons, the network's President and CEO (and later the United States Football League's first commissioner). The Getty Oil Company provided funding to begin the new venture via executive Stuart Evey.

Part quiz show, part offbeat news, and all awesome. All the time! We here are nuts about trivia. And we are darn sure there are people out there who share our unusual obsession. Do you relish beating your friends at Trivial Pursuit? Do you blab out the answers at the gym when Jeopardy! is on? And don't you just loathe badly worded questions? Gggrraahhh!
Then this podcast, fellow trivia nut, is the ultimate mental nutrition for your very big brain. So eat up!
Good Job, Brain!
Our goal here at RNR is to bring you all the nerdy news that you care about, and maybe even some that you don’t. We’ll have discussion on nerdy topics (beyond the usual “Kirk vs. Picard” debate), highlight events, interview interesting people and bring you reviews of things that you’d want to know about.
It’s no easy task to keep the nerdy masses entertained (we are a critical bunch, after all), but it’s what we strive for. You can keep up with everything that we’re doing on our website, www.ragnerdrok.com. You can also follow us on Twitter @ragnerdrok, or even “like” us on Facebook. If you have any questions or comments for us, feel free to email us at info@ragnerdrok.com.
Welcome to Rag-NERD-rok! Sit back, relax, and join us as we plumb the depths of nerdy culture in search of the true essence of geekdom.

Ask Me Another blends brainteasers and local pub trivia night with comedy and music into a rambunctious hour-long show. Play along as Host Ophira Eisenberg invites in-studio guests and listeners alike to stretch their noggins, tickle their funny bones, and enjoy witty banter and guitar riffs from house musician Jonathan Coulton. What you'll hear resembles the casual intimacy of game night at a friend's house: one where scores are forgotten in favor of hilarious gaffes.
