In vocational rehabilitation, there are two major roles that students in the graduate rehab program at Auburn typically pursue; rehabilitation counseling and/or vocational evaluation. This course is a requirement for both types of students due to the necessity of either giving vocationally relevant tests or interpreting the meaning of the scores of those tests even when given by someone else. Thus, rehabilitation counselors are occasionally called upon to give vocational tests but are frequently required to interpret the results of such tests. This course is designed to teach the process, principles, and techniques of testing. In addition to acquainting students with the various types of psychometric tests and the rationale underlying each type, students will get hands on practice at giving different tests.
