Hromadske Radio (translated as ‘public radio’ from the Ukrainian language) is an initiative by a group of professional broadcasting journalists. They have joined their efforts in order to launch an independent public radio for the Ukrainian audience.
The radio is seen by its founders as non-partisan pro-democracy medium that is to deliver balanced and non-biased news and analysis to Ukrainians. Well-known journalists form the nucleus of the future broadcaster: Andriy Kulykov, Natalia Sokolenko, Kyrylo Loukerenko, Iryna Slavinska, Yuriy Makarov, Iryna Solomko, Nastya Stanko, Oleh Shynkarenko, Serhiy Andrushko, Lesya Sakada, and some others.
