By participating in a drama workshop, dementia patients discover abilities long
forgotten: laughing, singing, even improvising. And their partners can finally let go and be themselves .The film accompanies two couples and shows how much creativity is still possible for dementia patients and how necessary it is for their partners. The act of rowing together in an imaginary boat, the premiere of the improvised play, is a strong metaphor for this healing experience. The film shows in a respectful way how forgotten memories and a zest for life can be brought back.
