These podcasts will help get you started with PowerSHAPE-e by showing you some of the basic principles of the software. These podcasts cover functions such as simple wireframe sketching, surface creation, filleting and solid modelling., As time goes by we will be adding new tutorials to form a comprehensive library of self-teach materials. If you have particular topics you would like to see covered, please let us know.

This podcast has been created to help everyone in Community Consolidated School District 62 use the Mac OS X operating system. Mac OS X is pronounced "Mac O S ten" [the "X" is used as Roman numeral "ten"]. At the time this podcast was produced (October 2006), District 62 was in transition between Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. The vast majority of District 62 computers running Mac OS X are running Mac OS X, version 10.4. Eventually, all computers in District 62 will run Mac OS X.

I have to first say that there were so many good clips, but I chose this video because I am a huge Abbott and Costello fan and I had never seen this particular clip, or at least I don't remember it. I think kids would find it funny and yet learn how not to multiply and divide, which are hard concepts for some children. I think it would be great to remember the clip and then reenact it out for the students. Cute and entertaining clip.

Here is my two minute movie about my two new additions in my life. I recently adopted Taz and Sassy after my other kitty died of cancer. They are so enjoyable and I love them to bits.
2 min movie (Taz and Sassy)
This is my final movie. I wanted to create a movie that I could use as a jump start into the era of the 1930’s. Its purpose is to grab the attention of my students and inspire them to learn more when we delve deeper into the era. I focused on the two main events that molded the 1930’s, the Great Depression and the Dust Bowls. I used pictures, along with vintage footage of the time, and a personal interview with my grandmother recalling her life during these two dramatic events bringing reality into the era along with moving the past into the present. Changes I made to pictures using Adobe photoshop were generally adding frames, feathering and creating a collage, and adding image effects. For the most part I mainly just added frames to most of the pictures, first the four corners and then a black frame around that. I wanted them to look as though they were from a photo album. In the fifth picture, I used feathering and the elliptical method of creating a collage and combined three pictures in one of families on the road with their possessions. In the eighth and ninth picture I used the layer style of sun faded photo and the image effect of brushing along with framing because I wanted these two pictures to stand out, mothers with children are more dramatic and children would be able to identify to these pictures.
